Mel Gibson's Film: Don't Judge the Book by the Movie!
I have purposefully delayed commenting on the Mel Gibson film, The Passion of the Christ although many of my friends have asked me about it. I am now ready to respond after talking with many and reading scores of websites and newspaper/magazine articles. This should not to be perceived as an attack upon many of my preacher/friends who applaud the movie. Their motives are not in question but their judgment is.

Reformation Leaders Tortured and Killed Dissidents!
If we focus only on Roman Catholic persecution of Christians without admitting that most reformation leaders did unspeakable things to their enemies, it is dishonest. As soon as the Reformers had the power to persecute they did! Tit for tat.

Get ready folks, the world church is being formed with headquarters in Rome, but here is one Fundamentalist who will never “return to Rome” since my crowd has never been in her! Our kind of churches were publicly baptizing converts in huge tubs throughout Germany, Switzerland and other European nations long before the Reformation. I will stay independent as a hog on ice and free as an eagle until shrimp learn to whistle and pigs learn to fly.
