As I started reading your article I was encouraged with the topic under discussion. I was discouraged when I finished reading your article because you seemed to focus only on “kicking them out of church.” You have chosen a good place to start and a bad place to stop. If in the process of church discipline we are to treat them as an unbeliever, then this means we are to evangelize. Kicking them is not the goal. The goal is restoration back into the body of Christ, if they are saved (the church) and to present Christ to them if they are not. You article fell short of the biblical meaning and intent of church discipline.
