The problem is that most churches have been fooled into thinking that the state requires them to be incorporated and to seek 501(c)(3) tax exemption when churches are already non-taxable in the first place. Furthermore, incorporation makes that church a creature of the state. Jesus Christ is the sole Head of the church but incorporation makes the state another one of the heads.

Preaching is something that God commanded us to do. Anytime the state prohibits it then it is acting in rebellion of the law. It may deem such a prohibition “legal” but it’s still UNLAWFUL. Furthermore, the First Amendment says that the state can’t prohibit “the free exercise” of “an establishment of religion” (a Christian church). Preaching is NOT mere “speech”, it’s the exercise of one’s religion. Don’t let the state define preaching to mean “religious speech”. It’s much more.
